Just curious why she is using her heel/spur so constantly? I have been taught that they become dull to it if it is used w/o a release.
Just curious why she is using her heel/spur so constantly? I have been taught that they become dull to it if it is used w/o a release.
Amber is not very tall and her horse is very large so her leg doesn’t hang very far down the side of the horse, her heel only hangs just below where the horse is widest, ideally if your were going out to buy yourself a horse you would want to choose one that your legs hangs well below that point on the horse’s side. She is trying to let her leg hang without tension against the side of the horse, which she does, but because her leg only comes right below that point, which is where the most movement is, it makes her legs move more than you would like in an ideal world. She is not however gripping or spurring so the horse doesn’t react badly, if she was, he would.
