Bailador. Many thanks for this video. Could you possibly explain where to attach the side reins, I really like the idea of them being higher on the saddle, similar to where ones hands would be, but is this appropriate for a more advanced horse? Many thanks

You would attach them to the rings on the pommel of the saddle, usually where you attach a breast collar.

Learning more great things every time a new submission with Will and Balidor. I just love learning this gentle, kind way of working with the horse. I am sicken and depressed when I see the abuse of other trainers and sad horse they abuse. I am such an advocate for Will Faerber and his true way of training. The Truth in everything is very important to me and my integrity. This is the Truth in horsemanship! Aloha and Mahalo for these valuable lessons, your time, resources and videos. This is a beautiful gift for all who avail themselves of it!

Join me as I post weekly blogs covering many topics relating to Classical Foundation Training. I have intentionally left out the word "dressage" because many people have a negative association with the prevalent "crank and spank" approach or that it is a sport for only those who are afraid to jump.

Dressage as it is meant to be is an understanding of how to best optimize a horse's movement and ability to carry a rider, surely a benefit for any horse, any discipline. It is also important in maintaining your horse's safety, soundness and sanity.
