    This is exactly what Taneen and I neede!! I lunged with Karen’s suggestions after see the critique and WOW, he was a different horse and stayed long and low pretty much the whole session. I put the chambon and side reins on and got closer and moved him out. He did fabulous!! I also held my lunge line like Karen suggested, like holding my reins while riding. Thank you so much, Karen. I’m so glad I submitted this even tho I was not too happy with my work that day. Aloha!!

I have intentionally left out the word "dressage" because many people have a negative association with the prevalent "crank and spank" approach or that it is a sport for only those who are afraid to jump.

Dressage as it is meant to be is an understanding of how to best optimize a horse's movement and ability to carry a rider, surely a benefit for any horse, any discipline. It is also important in maintaining your horse's safety, soundness and sanity.
